The Veriano Luchetti Special Award means to be a tribute to and recognition of the famous voice and highly regarded personality of the world famous tenor, founder with Mietta Sighele of the international competition for young opera singers «Riccardo Zandonai».
This Award, donated by the Art Director of the Musica Riva Festival and of the Zandonai Competition, Mietta Sighele, has a value of 8,000 euros and shall be awarded to that young tenor of great and proven artistic merit,
who, with the humblest commitment to study, will be able to pay tribute with equal prominence to the excellence of the voice and talent of the tenor Veriano Luchetti, whose precious and highly refined performances have aroused the enthusiasm of the public in the most important theatres of the world. This Special Award comes during an event that made the Musica Riva Festival, his friends and fans rejoice: the dedication to Veriano Luchetti of the theatre of Tuscania, his hometown, on 17 March 2018.
